"...build upon the greatness we already see in our kids..."
Strong Mind Strong Performance began during uncomfortable rides home from practices and games with my kids—moments when I realized that talent wasn’t the issue, but confidence was. I watched my children, and so many other young athletes, perform with skill but question their worth. Inspired by how even pros like LeBron James evolved through mental coaching, I knew our youth deserved those same tools early. This program doesn’t aim to fix what’s broken—it’s here to build upon the greatness we already see in our kids and give them the mindset to lead with clarity, calm, and belief.

Meet our Coaches
Helping to unlock the confidence already within our young athlete

Eric has spent over seven years building strong systems and stronger people. As a youth basketball coach and program manager in the Bay Area, he brings that same focus on discipline, growth, and leadership to every practice. Extremely passionate about mentoring young athletes and helping them unlock the confidence and mindset needed to lead—on and off the court. Coaching is where Erick's strategic skills meet my heart for impact.

Alonzo Washington
Coach Alonzo “Zo” Washington, a De La Salle alum, McDonald’s All-American nominee, and North Coast Section Division 1 Champion, played collegiate basketball at Cal Poly Humboldt before moving into coaching and mentorship. A father of two and dedicated skills trainer, Zo knows that mindset often drives performance more than talent. He now focuses on building stronger athletes and leaders through skill development, strength training, and mental coaching—helping young athletes perform with clarity, calm, and confidence on and off the court.
Joshua is a licensed therapist and former college athlete who helps young people build confidence, manage stress, and perform at their best. He knows what it’s like to compete at a high level—and how important it is to take care of your mental health along the way. Through one-on-one support and mental skills training, Joshua helps athletes develop tools they can use in sports and in life. His goal is to make sure every athlete feels seen, supported, and ready to reach their full potential.
Kelley Beauford

Joshua Crum, LMFT
Kelley Beauford is a track and field coach and mental performance advocate who became the coach she wished she had growing up. As a former athlete who competed through pain, silence, and underrepresentation, Kelley brings deep empathy and strength to her work with young athletes—especially girls navigating systems that weren’t built for them. She’s committed to building confidence through care, clear guidance, and a coaching approach that listens as much as it leads. With every session, Kelley creates the supportive space she once needed: a place where athletes feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow.
